This is Yellowstone National Park in the summer time: animals next to the road, rangers controlling traffic, traffic jams, people taking pictures and summer heat.  And don't forget the RV's!

Theme Day: Bright Colors

Skipping ahead in my series of pictures from Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Park, I'll share the close-up of the hot spring run off from the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park.  The color comes from the bacteria that grows here in these most unique conditions, like no where else in the world.

There has been a lot of press lately about recent bear attacks in our region of the world.  Here's my bear sighting.  Just want to mention that bear attacks are NOT the typical bruin behavior and they are beautiful and smart creatures.  Opportunistic too!  Keep your yummy food and children to yourself!!

My friend took this picture two weeks ago at the beginning of the hail storm that threw down golf balls on all our windows, lawns, houses and cars.  I was lucky to be out of town, so my car does not have dents like most others.  And I was lucky that my house windows did not get hit and broken like my neighbors.
