Ok, I have a soft spot for boats. I had to share this last photo from California - Lake Tahoe to be specific. Enjoy. I'll see you back in Montana soon..
Cool shot! Literally. I know that water is ice cold in summer, so can't imagine the temps in winter. Glad you got up the mountain while you were down. As to this being the last not Montana. . .we'll believe it when we see it. :-) -Kim
You can find Bozeman, Montana in Southwest Montana, beneath the Big Sky, as they say. We live at 5000 feet elevation and experience long winters and shorter summers with about 3 weeks of Spring and Fall each go around. Bozeman is surrounded by National Forest lands and is filled with fertile pasture and farm lands stretching from east to west between Downtown, new housing and business developments and Montana State University.
You can find all sorts of conservative and progressive Bozemanites. Most of us like to do one of these activities: ski, bike, hike, backpack, trail run, golf, rock and ice climb, ride horses, hunt big game and fly fish! There is a strong artistic community with world class photographers and film makers. (And I am the amateur with a daily blog!) And many many churches and bars to choose from.
If you take a stroll down the city trails or sidewalks, you most likely see many strollers with babies, dogs, cruiser or fixed wheel bikes, and many trucks. We love our garage sales, farmer's markets and free live open air music in the summer time. Come and see it all for yourself!

I agree with you about boats, maybe it's because of that John Masefield poem. Or maybe it's just because it's just so calming and pretty.
Peaceful sky, great shot.
