Hiking through this forest was amazing. It was so strikingly beautiful, especially because the lighting kept changing as the clouds passed over. The forest fire happened about two years ago, if I remember correctly, during a dramatic and hot smoke-filled August. Yesterday was my first time back to this trail since the burn.
