Happily married and retired.. they were having fun. He explained to me that if the snow stays on the roof, it will melt, become ice and damage the roof, thereby causing the roof to leak down on the porch and damage it. I guess it's these kinds of things that keep a marriage strong.

I cannot believe the amount of snow you (already) have. Its been decades since it snowed like that in the Netherlands. Pity!
I can't believe you have to scrape the snow of the roof like that! Wow! I wouldn't last long up north.
I see she's doing the work and he's directing operations. Tasks like these need a woman's deft touch, obviously.
actually.. it took a lot of prodding by her husband for her to try it. She didn't think she could do it. He was very nice and was serving her well. He did the rest of the roof.
