palisade falls


In the summer, people drive a ways into the forest and hike just a 1/2 mile to see these falls.  In the winter, if someone has driven down the road to pack down the snow.. another can follow.  We did that and found the massive falls.  Hyalite Canyon is actually famous for ice climbing.  I was surprised to not see some people climbing here.  If you look closely at the bottom right of the ice, you can spot my friend in a grey coat... tiny tiny friend shows the mass of this ice.
